Designs from nature

Sights and spottings from the surrounding countryside is the inspiration behind Sarah Hardaker's new Folio Collection. Swallows and cow parsley take centre stage in this collection, complemented by stylish stripes and plains, all making this an easy to use fabric range. Beautifully coloured with perfect pastel and mid-tone shades, my particular favourite is Wiveton with it's pale pink ground and navy print detailing. Prices start at £52/m, contact Sarah Hardaker for more information.

Modern weaves

It’s great to support British made and an easy job too when homegrown companies create amazingly gorgeous products. British fabric house, Blendworth have taken inspiration from Moroccan tiles and Moorish architecture in their latest collection of simply lovely looking weaves. The range comes in three designs, a small geometric, a linear basket weave and a slubby strié and are beautifully coloured in a range of shades to include easy on the eye neutrals, roof tile reds, and deep moody indigoes.

Summer lighting

With the lighter nights now behind us, my thoughts turn to extending the evening linger time in the garden. I loved this selection of lanterns and candles from Nordic House who have sourced a variety of styles and sizes. They even have pretty candle tins fragranced with citronella to keep bugs at bay.

Outdoor living

Looking for ideas for the perfect picnic? Me too. Plum & Ashby have some beautiful outdoor dining, seating and scene setting ideas. Great in the garden or why not, as they have, take it down to the beach for a shore side supper.

Designer looks

French Connection, the go-to company for sleek and stylish fashion also has a super snazzy range of furniture and accessories up its proverbial sleeve this summer. Elegant dining and entertaining pieces made from a slick mix of materials, far flung travel inspired textiles and industrial edged lighting vie for space on their fabulous website. Go visit, buy and bring a designer touch to your home.
